Quotations from festival attendees

"One week after the festival ended, I got a job specifically because I was able to demonstrate the Google techniques I learned on the last day of the fest. I thought: it worked!"

"This year's fest was outrageously inspiring. My favorite part, along with meeting a bunch of great people, was the Summits. These panel discussions were a great opportunity to listen and learn in a comfortable, close setting with some of the industries best artists, designers and animators. The topics that were covered were truly exciting. Everything from the future of the motion graphics business, unique places motion graphics are being used, life as a VJ and the break down of how a company approaches and delivers a project. It's great to be a involved with an organization like this one!"

"The Motion Graphics Festival for 2008 was extremely well done. Everything worked out in a streamlined fashion to make it easy for everyone to check out the screenings, play with new programs, meet people, and even win a lottery or two. The best part was that the festival was in multiple locations throughout chicago and went on during many different times of the day throughout the week. This gave everyone who wanted a chance to catch part of the festival (we know, we're are all extremely busy) and have a good time. The classes were really well done. I had a chance to take classes for Logic Pro, Ableton, and ProTools; having an absolute blast. I learned a ton about the programs and I even made some cool new friends with the same interests as me. I can't imagine what the other events were like. There was great new material for the screenings, many of them world premiers, and there were some awesome after parties for networking and socializing. The Motion Graphics Festival can not be beat, and I HIGHLY urge anyone who can attend to attend. If you're low on cash, you can always volunteer to help out; or even better... get your company to pay for it like a few people I know did. It works out for everyone!"
