Full-day hands-on intensive workshop. Each student gets access to a fully loaded G5 computer. 15 seat limit.
Presentation will cover the basics of sound physics, gathering audio, importing audio into the computer, using non-linear audio editing software, and cover the fundamentals of compression, phase, equalization, post-processing, effects, stereo/5.1 and aesthetic considerations. Please bring a pair of headphones to use during the class.
Alan has taught at School of the Art Insitute in the Art & Tech Department and Liberal Arts Department and for the Chicago Filmmaker's Co-operative.
