Distance Learning Meetup

Saturday, July 11, 5pm - 6:30pm

at O'Charleys (private room), 2039 Crescent Centre Blvd, Tucker, GA

Whether you want to learn or teach, the Distance Learning Meetup will be a meeting of minds discussing the future of online video and live training solutions in a casual environment. Dinner serves as a perfect excuse to reveal our inner geek-ness about screen sharing, video chatting, and multimedia training materials.

In attendance:

Jim Kanter, Apple Certified Training Program, Digital Film Institute

The Digital Film Institute was started in 2004 in response to the growing need for a training center that offers state-of-the-art facilities with outstanding student-centered instructors. Education Director Jim Kanter had previously built up the digital video departments for other training companies but grew frustrated with their failure to maintain a high quality learning environment. He and his wife started the Digital Film Institute with the goal of providing the best learning experience for people working with film and digital video.

Russell Youngblood, Adobe Certified Training Program

Russell discovered Dreamweaver in 1997 and has since been developing and training in the Adobe web design/development solutions. Coming from a freelance background, he has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients from small business web sites to the award winning US Navy JASS system, an enterprise J2EE system. When not in the classroom teaching, he is now working in Adobe Flash, Flex, and ColdFusion for design and development. Russell Youngblood is a Certified Adobe "Master" Instructor, software expertise in Adobe Flash, Flex, ActionScriot, ColdFusion and a Certified Technical Trainer CTT+.

Mason Dixon, School of the Art Institute of Chicago
